Our Technology

Our patented Smartcap platform transforms any bottle into a smart bottle – no matter if contains a liquid, powder, pill, or capsule. The Smartcap platform includes: sensor, mobile app, brand dashboard, cloud servers and algorithms. Smartcap sensors: small IoT devices that are either built in or attached to existing caps. The sensors measure the content in the bottle, without touching the material. The sensors interact with the consumer via light, vibration or alert, and connect the package to a smart phone or any other communication hub.

The Mobile App

Mobile app: communicates with the Smartcap sensor to build a user profile (gender, weight, height, etc.) and gather information from the environment, (location, weather, etc.). The app sends the information to the Water.io servers. The app enables brand managers to communicate and engage directly with consumers to offer promotions, information and location based recommendations.

Servers and Dashboards

Water.IO servers: gather and store information, leveraging machine learning algorithms to crunch data and provide service to the consumer. This includes alerts that remind user to stay hydrated, take medications on time, or automatically re-order a soon to be finished household/office product. Water.io brand dashboard: utilizes the information provided by the servers to display both real time events as well as analytics and historical data to brand managers about product usage and consumer base. The dashboard enables brand managers to communicate directly to targeted segments of consumers with relevant notifications, coupons or other information through the mobile app.
